Parrot Sings 'Stairway to Heaven': Tell Me Something Good

Parrots have to be some of the most fascinating birds. My great grandmother used to have a parrot that used to say "Oh no it's the Chilles!"...l wonder where it learned that!

They have the rather unique ability to replicate sounds, sayings, human voices, and expressions...some can even sing. Well, sort of...

Loudwire, owned by our parent company Townsquare Media, recently came across Tico, a green parrot on YouTube is probably the coolest parrot around because not only can he talk, but he can SING. He has videos singing along to Guns N' Roses, Van Halen, and more.

YouTuber Frank Maglio first uploaded his duet with Tico around eight months ago, which was about two months into the pandemic. Makes sense, huh? The video depicts Maglio playing Led Zeppelin's iconic "Stairway to Heaven," with Tico singing along.

The video has just under 80,000 views, so Maglio must have thought...let's see how Tico likes songs by other groups.

Since then, the two have performed other legendary hits from groups including Guns N' Roses, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, the Rolling Stones, and the Black Crowes...wait for a second... a parrot stole a song from crows??

The videos, including the one below, are quite interesting. Now if Maglio could just teach Tico to play guitar...
