According to WIVB, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Sunday that outdoor graduations can resume in New York State starting June 26th.

However, there are a few restrictions that will be in place.

  • All graduations must be outdoors.
  • They must include 150 people or less.

The obvious question is what do schools with more than 150 seniors do? That question still remains as Governor Cuomo did not give further details on the announcement.

The date is still three weeks away, so it will give the state time to reevaluate the COVID-19 situation.

Still, this is good news for graduation plans across the state.
