Since 1965 we've been enjoying the classic Christmas special ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.' I'll bet you didn’t know that some of the characters names were inspired by real people. Also, Rudolph was supposed to be delivered to Donner and his wife via a stork, but after GE (the main sponsor) chose Burl Ives to be the narrator, they scrapped that scene. Or, how about the fact that there was a weird version of the Rudolph Special from 1944 that you may have never seen?

This version of the Christmas classic hit the theaters back in 1944. And then, this 1944 Rudolph special was shown on television during the '40s, '50s and into the early ’60s before the popular version we see today was even produced.

Weird isn't it?
