Troopers with the New York State Police made quite a few DWI arrests this holiday weekend in Western New York.

Fredonia Woman Arrested for DWI By NYSP Troopers

Jordan Wright, 30, of Jamestown was arrested by Troopers for Driving While Intoxicated. On May 28th, 2022, Troopers found Wright's vehicle in a ditch on Route 60 in Fredonia. Wright allegedly failed field sobriety tests conducted by Troopers. She was taken to SP Fredonia and was given a chemical breath test, which was .10%. She is due in court in the town of Pomfret Court in June.

Irving Man Arrested For DWI

On May 27, New York State Troopers arrested a 43-year-old Irving man on a DWI charge. Frederick General was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. He was driving an unregistered four-wheeler on Routes 5 and 20 in Irving. He failed multiple sobriety tests. He was also driving with a revoked license as he had been convicted of DWI within the preceding 10 years. He was taken to SP Fredonia to be processed and will appear in court in the town of Hanover Court in June.

Jamestown Man Arrested For Driving While Impaired By Drugs

A 47-year-old Jamestown man was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation on May 27. New York State Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Patrick Patterson. He was involved in an accident on Interstate 86 in Kennedy. His tires popped and he lost control of his vehicle, crashing into a guard rail. Troopers alleged that he showed signs of drug impairment. He was arrested. Troopers found methamphetamine and Patterson has had his license suspended multiple times.

At SP Jamestown, Patterson was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of narcotics and a Central Nervous System stimulant. Patterson provided a blood sample at UPMC Chautauqua and was then transported back to SP Jamestown for processing.

He is due in court at a later date to face his charges.

New York State Police Arrest East Aurora Man For DWI

Adam P. Conwell., 30, of East Aurora, was arrested on May 27, by New York State Troopers out of SP Boston. He was arrested during a field sobriety road check in Elma. Officers determined that he was driving while impaired. He was taken to SP Elma for processing. Conwell was given a chemical breath test, which revealed a 0.12% BAC. He is due to appear in court in Elma at a later date.

New York State Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested a 60-year-old Elma man, Timothy J. Smith, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. On May 27, , Troopers were conducting a sobriety check. Officers determined that Smith was showing signs of impairment. He was arrested and taken to SP Elma for processing. He was given a chemical breath test. His Blood Alcohol Content was 0.18%. He is due back in court at a later date.
