If you're a sports fan here in New York, these are the COVID-19 vaccination requirements to attend games for each of the major teams in the state. New York has some of the strictest rules in place for vaccinations. New York City is even more restrictive than most of the rest of the state. For the teams that play in New York, most require fans to have proof of vaccination. Some venues even have "fully vaccinated sections." Each of the teams and their venue is listed below with the requirements and a link to get more information.

New York's first woman governor, Kathy Hochul, spoke on the importance of getting vaccinated,

"The COVID-19 vaccine is readily available, free, and most importantly, it's effective - now, for those eligible, it is also important to get booster shots to ensure your vaccine is as efficient as possible. A year ago, we were not lucky enough to have a vaccine at our disposal, but now we have multiple. The vaccine is the best tool we have to work our way out of this pandemic and I encourage those who have not yet received theirs to go out and get it to protect yourself and your loved ones."

As of data released by the Governor's Office yesterday, October 25, 2021, 45,217 doses of vaccine were administered around the state within the last 24 hours leading up to Monday.

Here are the current COVID-19 vaccination statistics for New York (as of October 24):

· 70.9% of all New Yorkers have received at least one vaccine dose
· 64.3% of all New Yorkers have completed the vaccine series
