Nobody Has Shown Interest In Adopting This 10-Year-Old Dog At The Niagara County SPCA
When you walk into the SPCA looking to adopt a dog, you see a variety of adorable pooches. The most popular are usually the puppies or those who are less than two-to-three years old.
However, the older dogs are just as deserving of a new home as the younger dogs, and it breaks my heart to see an older dog getting passed over just because of the age on their kennel.
According to the Niagara County SPCA's Facebook page, they're having a very difficult time getting a lovable dog named Gus adopted.
Gus is a 10-year-old dog who has been with the SPCA for the last two months...unfortunately, nobody has expressed an interest in adopting Gus.
Gus was discovered on a bus, before being brought into the SPCA, so it makes sense his name is Gus!
Just because a dog is a little older, doesn't mean he or she won't be worth adopting. I can't even imagine a dog spending its last couple of years in and out of shelters. Every dog deserves a forever home.
I've mentioned this before, but my fiancee and I adopted a dog at the SPCA in 2018 and it's the best decision we ever made. We can't imagine our lives without our pitbull/beagle-mix, Odessa.
Adopt, don't shop! Let's help Gus find his forever home!
