I don't think I've ever seen such a divisive food than Peeps. Seems like half of people out there love them, while the other half hate them.

Whether you love the marshmallow candy or not, chances are you won't be seeing them in Tops or Wegmans this year.

According to WIVB, Just Born, the owner of Peeps, say the popular marshmallows will not be available for Halloween, Christmas or Valentine's Day.

Production for the treat has stopped, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Just Born wants to ensure that Peeps will be plentiful for the number one holiday for the marshmallow treat...Easter!

As if this isn't bad enough, however, Just Born also makes Mike and Ike's and Hot Tamales. Those candies won't be available for Halloween as well, due to the halted production.

“We look forward to offering our fun seasonal shapes and packaging at all major seasons again beginning with Halloween of 2021,” the company said in its statement.

The plan is to have Peeps for all holidays by the spring of 2021 and moving forward.

I love Peeps, personally, but you can usually only have two or three before feeling sick. In moderation for sure.
