New York’s Offical State Drink Is …

What?  Who knew?  Instituted in 1981 as New York State official drink.  Do you agree?  What would be a better choice?

Yes, milk it is.  Apparently we are big on strong teeth and bones in New York.  Water, beer, OJ?

I'm not so thrilled by the New York State cookie to go with the milk.  Oreos will do.

New York State Cookie

1 cup butter
1 ½ cups flour
½ cup buckwheat flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup maple sugar
2 ½ cups blended oatmeal
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups coconut
10 ounces toffee
2 ounces dried apples
2 cups nuts.
