New Jersey Governor Chris Christy, Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden are just some of the dignitaries that will be in attendance at former New York Governor Mario Cuomo's funeral today, Tuesday January 6th, 2015.

He passed away on Thursday, January 1st and according to his sons, current NY Governor Andrew Cuomo and CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, their father had been recently hospitalized to treat a heart condition. He was 82.
Yahoo News tells us:

Cuomo was most remembered for a speech at the 1984 Democratic National Convention in San Francisco, where he focused on an America divided between haves and have-nots and scolded Republican President Ronald Reagan for not working to close that gap.

The New York Post says:

His public funeral will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Church on Park Avenue at East 84th Street Tuesday. It begins at 11 a.m. and is “open to family and friends,” according to a spokesman.

And finally President Obama had this to say about New York's beloved governor:

"He rose to be chief executive of the state he loved, a determined champion of progressive values, and an unflinching voice for tolerance, inclusiveness, fairness, dignity, and opportunity."

Thank you for your service to our State Governor Mario Cuomo.
