Brian Daboll who attended St. Francis High School did an amazing job as offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills before leaving to take the New York Giants head coaching job this past season.

In his first season with the Giants, Daboll lead the team to a 9-7-1 record and 3rd place in the NFC East. It was the Giants' first winning season in 5 years.

Another Western New York native was coaching in the Super Bowl. Nick Sirianni has been with the Philadelphia Eagles for two seasons and won the NFC Championship this past year before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Superbowl.

Now it looks like another Western New York native will have a chance to shine in the NFL. According to a Tweet from his father, Christopher Smith is joining the NY Giants as the Assistant offensive line coach.

Smith grew up in Western New York and attended St. Francis just like his new boss, Brian Daboll.

Smith was the offensive coordinator for Holy Cross this past season. Prior to his promotion, he was the offensive line coach for 5 years with Holy Cross.

We wish him the best and love seeing Western New York natives make it in the NFL.
