I tried my hand at candy-making this holiday season (trust me, I'm MUCH better at regular cooking...baking is too precise with measurements, candy is too precise with temperatures.  Give me "a lil' of this and a lil' of that, and I'm good!).  I made saltine toffee and beer candy for my coworkers, and Heather Davis mentioned she loved salted caramels.  Being the "foodie" that I am, I'm all over the salty/sweet combo's lately....so I decided to make these, and brought BUCKETS in for the office.

Yes, that is the actual picture of the ones I made.  I'm so proud of them!!!  They truly look lovely, and taste AMAZING.

Alas, I can't claim fame to the recipe.  I got it online.  Just be sure you follow directions exactly...with candy-making, you absolutely MUST get to the right temperature for things to turn out right.  When it says 257 degrees, it means it.  Trust me....my trials will help your errors. :)

EnJOY!

OH!  P.S.  This is a pic of the New Year's Eve meal I made for myself that I spoke of in a previous post.  It was every bit as delicious as it looks.  Sorry, vegetarians...but this girl can COOK! :)
