It's no secret that Buffalo and Western New York have a large Polish community and it's also no secret that people wear their Polish pride on their sleeve.

You can also find some great Polish cuisine here in the city of good neighbors, and there's a new option you have to check out in the Williamsville area at the Eastern Hills Mall.

According to Step Out Buffalo, there are three new eateries at the Eastern Hills Mall.

The first is Chrusciki Bakery & Cafe (which opened the three food stops under one roof), which offers outstanding pastries and drink options. The second is Simply Pierogi, which offers a fast (casual) option for pierogis and other dishes, and lastly, Sto Lat Bar.

Sto Lat Bar is unique because it offers an upscale option for Polish dining.

The restaurant and bar have a full-service bar area, small plates menu if you're looking for lunch, as well as a full-menu after 5 pm for dinner.

Here's just some of what you'll find on the menu:

  • Placek Monte Cristo Sliders
  • Truffle Fried Pickles
  • Classic Zapiekanka (Polish flatbread)
  • Fried Pierogi Dippers
  • Polish Platter (which sounds amazing)
  • Spicy Schnitzel Sandwich
  • Kotlety Burger (veal and pork mix)

I got to try some of those fried pierogi dippers.
