There is a new law that could be in place that affects those of us who text often!

Lawmakers in New York are considering banning texting while walking.

According to Metro Source News:

Legislation has been introduced in the State Senate that aims to penalize people who are typing on their phones while crossing the street.  The measure is meant to cut down on incidents where pedestrians are struck by cars.  The fines would range from 50-to-150-dollars.

This is a new trend in many smaller cities in the United States. If you drive anywhere near a busy pedestrian area, you see people constantly looking down and not paying attention. I have even seen people riding their bikes while texting!
