I know that most Buffalonians are in "Bills mode" but the Buffalo Sabres season is not far off. It starts in just over one month and soon the Sabres will be reporting to training camp.

The roster will look much different than a year ago. Gone are forward Sam Reinhart, defenseman Jake McCabe and goaltender Linus Ullmark. The new additions include goaltender Craig Anderson.

Anderson is 40 years old and has been in the NHL since the 2002-2003 season. He's played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, and Washington Capitals over the course of his 19-year NHL career.

Anderson is being brought in as a veteran mentor for 22-year-old Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who could be the Sabres starting goaltender of the future.

It's not clear just how many games Anderson will play for the Sabres this season, but we do know when he is in the net, he will have a very cool mask to wear.

Check out the new mask that Craig Anderson will be wearing this season for the Sabres.

This comes two weeks after we saw the incredible new pads that fellow new goalie Aaron Dell will be wearing for Buffalo.

Dell is likely to split time between the Sabres and Rochester Amerks this season. He'll be paired with Dustin Tokarski in Rochester.

That mask from Anderson is so cool. I think it's near perfect for what a Sabres mask should look like.
