New Plant-Based Restaurant Opens In Elmwood Village

For now, patrons are seated in an outdoor gazebo semi-temporary dining space at Root & Bloom, an exclusively plant-based restaurant on Elmwood Avenue.

The new restaurant, located at 423 Elmwood Ave will move into its interior space eventually, according to The Buffalo News.

In addition to its unique dining space, Root & Bloom Cafe and Market sets itself apart from the multitude of dining options in the Elmwood Village with its exclusively plant-based menu.

"There are numerous Buffalo restaurants with vegan options. After extensive research, Root & Bloom is the only one [owner, James] Ernst knows of with no dairy, meat or honey on its menu," according to The Buffalo News.

Root & Bloom's full menu will be available June 1.
