I know, it's mid-August and we still have to get through the rest of summer here in Western New York. So, looking forward to fall might be a tad premature right now, but let's face it, there's nothing like the fall in Buffalo and many are already looking ahead.

One of the best activities to do every September and October is haunted attractions. Western New York had a blow earlier this year when House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs announced its closure and that's one less haunted attraction.

But if you love getting scared, there's a new haunted place in Western New York that isn't the usual haunted house.

The Haunted Forests in Newfane will be opening on September 10th and if you're wondering what exactly is in the "forest," it's a lot of exciting stuff.

First, they have haunted hayrides; which are always a blast for those looking to get scared and have a true outdoor experience.

They also have a haunted barn and corn maze.

The backstory follows the Grogan family, who lived on this property over 100 years ago, and well, let's just say you may be seeing their "spirits" when you visit the haunted forest.

This looks fantastic and as someone who loves any kind of haunted attraction, this place has all the boxes check-marked (house, hayride, and corn maze).

Tickets need to be purchased ahead of time and it opens in less than one month. The Haunted Forest is located on Beebe Road in Newfane.

Are you looking forward to spooky season?
