New Girl Scout Cookie flavors??? SIGN ME UP!

Wait...they're like..."healthy"?  Take me off the list. ;)

Lets face it, besides helping our neighbors' (or our own) kids out, the main reason we're buyin' cookies at $7.50/pop like they're goin outta style is because they're amazingly delicious, addictive, and on our "treat" list.

BUT, as a former Girl Scout myself, I have to give the organization credit for trying to be a bit more conscientious of the consumer's needs/wants. With that...the new flavors are:

  • Gluten-Free Trios:  Peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies made with whole grain oats
  • Gluten-Free Toffee-Tastic:  Butter cookies with toffee bits
  • Rah-Rah Raisins:  Oatmeal raisin cookies made with whole grain oats, raisins, and Greek yogurt-flavored chunks.

You won't be able to get them everywhere just yet....they're rolling them out in test markets this year.

Just a reminder..."Gluten-Free" does NOT mean "healthy", "low carb", "low sugar" or "low fat".

It means there's no gluten.

So if you're NOT allergic to gluten, you're cool with the high-test stuff. ;)  Save your money.

Oh...PS...also jumping on the bandwagon is White Castle, announcing they'll offer veggie sliders.  My guess is, if you're going to White Castle, you're not going because you're crazy health-conscious.  So go nuts. :)
