New Cheektowaga Walmart Will Have an NFTA Bus Stop

Cheektowaga's new Walmart SuperCenter will open Wednesday morning, and with that an agreement has been made for a new bus stop.

The Walden Avenue location, replacing the old one near Harlem, announced an agreement that includes an NFTA bus stop at the Garden Center entrance.

There was initially some concern that a drop-off location at the store's front would be too dangerous, as customers would have to cross the busy road.

Buses will not have to travel through the parking lot but will use an access road on the side of the store instead.

The store is slated to open at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
