This Saturday, September 08, 2018 is the 16th Annual Music Is Art and Melody's band is playing!

Music is Art, a non profit organization is celebrating it's 16th year. This year it is coming back to Buffalo Riverworks! Whoot! There are over 20 stages with bands and acts being from WNY. Well, 98 percent of them anyway. Among those many bands is Melody's band, Surrender Reality who will be gracing the main stage at 5:30 p.m. There are dancers, bands, artists, and even a kid friendly zone! (We all know Robby has a soft spot for the kiddos)

"98% of what you’ll see, hear, and experience at the Music is Art Festival is from right here in Western New York. It is a true celebration of our creative community. The goal of the Festival each year is that everyone who attends will discover something new.

When: Saturday, September 8th from 11am until well after midnight

Where: Buffalo RiverWorks – 359 Ganson Street, Buffalo and Buffalo River Fest Park – 249 Ohio Street, Buffalo

The Festival will feature over 20 stages of live entertainment from bands, singer/songwriters, buskers, DJs, dancers, poets, theatre and improve groups. As well as live art, art installations, displaying artists, vendors, non-profit groups, motion picture theatres, and our popular kidz village. “Our goal is in the 12-14 hours we present this to you, you can see just about anything. There are so many different kinds of music, different kinds of art, and so many different personalities here that all come together and make this happen each year. Come with an open mind and if there is something you aren’t really digging, just turn around, literally just turn around…and you’ll see something else.” said Festival Founder and Music is Art President, Robby Takac. There will be parking on both sides of the Buffalo River, as well as free parking in the KeyBank Center lot at the corner of Michigan and Perry Streets. We also encourage folks to bicycle down or hop on a tiki boat to cross the river! For more information contact Music is Art Executive Director, Tracy Fletcher at tracy@musicisart.org or 716-870-3600. And check out the website at www.musicisart.org for volunteer sign ups and a full schedule."
