According to WIVB, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced at his most recent press conference that more restrictions could be coming in the state if regions can't get their hospitalization rates stabilized.

More specifically, restaurant restrictions.

Cuomo said that if those hospitalizations haven't stabilized in the next five days, then regions in New York State that are not in the orange zone will have restaurant capacity reduced to 25 percent capacity -- down from 50 percent. New York City will close entire for indoor dining.

Western New York continues to have the worst COVID-19 rates in the state.

Melissa Fleischut, president and CEO of the New York State Restaurant Association, had something to say on the news and for Governor Cuomo.

“Based on the current metrics and projections, Governor Cuomo has given New Yorkers a one-week warning that indoor dining will likely be shut down, regardless of the number of positive cases that are specifically tied back to restaurants. The confusing, patchwork system of micro-clusters, regional restrictions and blanket statewide rollbacks has made it virtually impossible for restaurants to continue indoor dining,” Fleischut said in a statement.
