Do you ever wonder what it would be like to spot the vehicle that's described in emergency alerts along the highway?  I always have. I read them over and over, trying to memorize as much info on the make/model of the car, the license plate, etc.  I'm driving to work at 4:30am so I keep an eye peeled on the 8-10 cars joining me at the early hour.

Last night, Erie County Sheriff's Deputies issued a "Silver Alert" for a 90 year old man who had gone missing after attending church.  Sylvester Stand was last seen leaving St. Bernadette's in Hamburg, and when he didn't return home, naturally his family was concerned.

Our sister station, WYRK, just happened to be going out on a remote broadcast this morning, and as they left the building around 5am, they spotted someone driving erratically. As they were about to call the police, they noticed something familiar about the vehicle, and here's how the rest went down...

Thanks to being at the right place at the right time, Mr. Stang is safe and accounted for.
