Isabella Sarah Tennant, the 5-year-old girl who was reported missing from her grandmother's house in Niagara Falls around 6 a.m. this morning, was found dead in an alley before noon today, Channel 4 reports.

UPDATE 2:45 p.m.: At this afternoon's press conference, police said the 16-year-old suspect led them to Isabella's body, which was buried in a garbage bag in a trash can in the alley. They have not recovered a weapon, but Isabella's body shows signs of trauma, police said.

The suspect will likely be charged with second-degree murder, police said, which carries a sentence of 25 years to life in prison. An arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday morning.

UPDATE 2 p.m.: Channel 4 News reports that a neighbor of Isabella's grandparents has made a confession in the case. The family told News 4 that the neighbor was someone Isabella's grandparents trusted and who did chores for them.

Channel 2 News reports the neighbor is 16 years old.

UPDATE 12:15 p.m.: Isabella's body was found fully clothed in an alleyway between 3rd Street and 4th Street in Niagara Falls, according to the family members Channel 4 spoke with. There is no word on any signs of abuse, and the case is being treated as a homicide.

Niagara Falls Police will hold a press conference at 2 p.m.

UPDATE 11:45 a.m.: Channel 4 reports that Isabella's family realized she was missing around 6 a.m. this morning and reported her disappearance to police at 6:15 a.m.

UPDATE 10:30 a.m.: According to WGRZ.com, Isabella was last seen just before midnight last night by a neighbor who was visiting her grandparents' house. Police have listed that neighbor as a person of interest and are questioning him.

An Amber Alert has not been issued because police say the situation does not fit the criteria for one. The Niagara County Sheriff's office does have its K-9 unit assisting in the search, however, and the owner of Players Sports Bar, where Isabella's mom works, is offering a $2,000 reward for the girl's safe return.

Isabella Sarah Tennant is described as white, 3 feet tall and 36 pounds, according to a story on WIVB.com. She has blue eyes and dirty blonde hair and was last seen wearing a pink pajama skirt and short-sleeved pink shirt with black stars on it. She is not wearing any socks or shoes.

Isabella was last seen at her grandmother's house, on the 400 block of 6th Street, according to WGRZ.com.
