Minimum Wage Increases in New York State

The minimum wage in New York State is on the rise with the start of 2015. The wage hike is part of a series of annual wage increases that were approved by lawmakers in 2013.

Starting today, the minimum wage in New York State will increase from $8.00 an hour to $8.75 an hour. There's also one more increase that will kick in on December 31, 2015 taking the minimum wage to $9.00 an hour.
