Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz is keeping the spirits high with a holiday celebration planned for next week.

The 2021 Holiday Celebration is planned for Tuesday, November 30th from 5pm-7pm. It will be held at Resurgence Brewing Company, located at 55 Chicago Street, Buffalo, NY 14204.

The holiday celebration has been planned for some time now; however, it looks like Poloncarz and his team are continuing to move forward with these plans for a holiday party, even after the recent reinstatement of the mask mandate.

As of 6am on November 23, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced a mask mandate to take effect once again for all indoor settings in the county.

This mask mandate is only Phase 1 of a four-stage approach in the county.

  • Phase 1: Mask Mandate for all indoor settings
  • Phase 2: Vaccine Mandate
  • Phase 3: Capacity Restrictions
  • Phase 4: Shutdowns

Poloncarz said the mask mandate will remain into effect until at least December 13th, and it won’t be reviewed until then but it could last until the end of the year, according to Poloncarz. However, it makes you wonder, What about that holiday party on November 30th?

Yes, that is still happening as of now and yes, Resurgence Brewing Company is in Erie County where the mask mandate has been implemented due to the increased spread of COVID-19.

A lot of Western New Yorkers have expressed disdain for the mask mandate, and there are growing frustrations over Mark Poloncarz, his holiday party still on the go, and whether or not he will follow his own precautions that he put in place.

If you are interested in attending Poloncarz’s holiday party at Resurgence, it costs about $125 per person.
