Buffalo may be an ever-growing city, but that doesn’t mean that every Western New Yorker is a “lifer”.

In recent years, the census data has indicated that Buffalo is finally growing in population after steadily decreasing for almost 70 years.

From 1950 to 2000, the census shows that there was about a 50% loss in Buffalo and Western New York’s population after falling from 580,000+ residents to just over 292,000 people.

A lot of people have left, but there are a few who have stayed and even some who have moved here (like me!).

And wow, I am so glad I moved to Western New York because there are so many hidden gems that are unlike anywhere else in the world.

One person realized this the hard way.

A man, who used to live in Buffalo, moved to Connecticut about 10 years ago, but what he did not realize is that there are a lot of things in Buffalo that you will never find anywhere else, especially not in Connecticut.

Perhaps the biggest common difference between Buffalo, NY and wherever this guy lives in Connecticut is the food. Buffalo has always been a foodie town, and it’s hard to find food of such good quality in many U.S. cities.

The newest resident of Connecticut pleaded for someone, anyone, from Buffalo to help him with a food dilemma.

I will pay someone to overnight mighty taco to me in CT,” the post read.

It's been ten years, and I crave Mighty,” he said.

When I moved to Buffalo, people loved to ask me if I had ever had Mighty Taco before, and what many people forget is that Mighty Taco is solely a local chain that is based in the Buffalo, NY area.

So yeah, it would be very difficult to find Mighty Taco outside of this area.

Someone commented on the post that said Mighty Taco will actually overnight tacos to your doorstep – wherever you are.

You’d have to order them by the dozen, but if you are craving Mighty Taco and you no longer live in Buffalo, you can find the order website by clicking here

It seems like everyone who has ever moved out of the city also craves the Buffalo staple all the same.

It makes sense, though! After all, it’s a trademark here.
