Make-A-Wish Makes Lockport Boy’s Dream Come True
Make-A-Wish Western New York is in the business of turning dreams into reality...and it has done just that for a Lockport boy and his brother.
Six-year-old Santiago Schaus and his brother Gavyn now have the Star Wars room of their dreams that included a special visit from Darth Vader. Their parents and Make-A-Wish Western New York worked to make the wish happen while the boys were away on a camping trip.
NEWS 4 WIVB-TV tells the story of Santi who has a form of Epilepsy, he can’t speak, but you couldn't miss his exuberance in his new space. Santi's family adopted him three years ago from Columbia and throughout that time he and Gavyn have been able to connect through Star Wars.
The brothers can now share their own "Star Wars" space.
“For years Gavyn’s been asking to share a room with his brother and just now he’s finally medically able to share a room,” said their father, Chris Schaus. “We’re so grateful we could make it happen.”
