Major Drug Bust In Western New York [VIDEO]

Twenty out of twenty-five Western New York drug dealers walked through the courthouse doors clad in orange with shackles on Thursday.

New York State Police, Erie and Niagara County Sheriff's Office and the Buffalo Police Department executed three search warrants in the City of Buffalo taking more than $1.2 million in cocaine and fentanyl-laced heroin off the streets.

The 20 drug dealers were arraigned on various felony charges including possession and criminal sale of controlled substances, and conspiracy to distribute controlled substance.

According to authorities, the drug ring came from two sources... Heroin driven in from New York City and Philadelphia, and cocaine sent in phony bean cans via U.S. Mail from Puerto Rico.

Police say that most of the drugs were delivered into the City of Lockport, where they were processed and distributed throughout the region.

At this point, the police investigation is not finished. Investigators will continue to work downstate and beyond to arrest dealers and suppliers higher up the food chain.
