It was a very difficult 2020 and 2021 on events here in Buffalo and Western New York, especially 2020, when nearly every festival and event was postponed or cancelled.

However, 2021 saw some hope in getting those events back, and in 2022, the hope is for nearly all of those events to return to Western New York.

I can't wait for all these great events to return to Western New York, and I'm sure many Buffalonians can't wait for those great spring and summer festivals to return.

One relatively new festival is making a return in 2022, and this time, it will be even earlier in the year than before.

Speaking of festivals, Buffalo on Tap is coming up this Saturday at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on Franklin Street.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
