I don't know about this one.

According to a new proposal in New York, it would prohibit marksmanship and/or shooting programs. So no rifle or archery in high schools.

These clubs, though teach and educate students on the proper use and importance of rifles and arrows. Is it taking it too far? We can't pretend guns aren't a thing?

Many people have opposed the bill from Buffalo. I don't get it though. New York needs to have so much control all of the time is seems.

According to New York State:

1. NO PUBLIC SCHOOL SHALL OFFER MARKSMANSHIP AND/OR SHOOTING PROGRAMS.

2. FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, MARKSMANSHIP AND/OR SHOOTING PROGRAMS SHALL INCLUDE ANY COMPETITIVE AND RECREATIONAL SPORTING ACTIVITIES INVOLVING PROFICIENCY TESTS OF ACCURACY, PRECISION AND SPEED IN USING VARIOUS TYPES OF RANGED WEAPONS, SUCH AS FIREARMS AND AIR GUNS, IN FORMS SUCH AS HANDGUNS, RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS AND/OR BOWS OR CROSSBOWS.
