Besides being an amazing artist, many people might also know Lionel Richie for his work on the TV show American Idol. He was a guest judge for the second Top 8 Week of Season 2.

Richie joined the show as a full-time judge in 2017 when he was partnered up with Katy Perry and Luke Bryan to form the judging panel. He has been part of the show ever since.

The show over the weekend was a mix of Richie's old hits when he was with the Commodores and the mega hits he had as a solo artist. The crowd was on their feet for much of the night and could be seen and heard singing just about every song throughout the night.

Of course, Lionel wouldn't have left the crowd without singing one of his biggest hits. For his encore of the night, Lionel came out to sing his mega-hit "All Night Long"
