For this next one...it's going to be ladies choice fellas.  Remember that coming over loudspeakers in your youth?  You will probably hear it again tonight at Canalside.

You may have heard that there is a new roller rink downtown on Buffalo's Waterfront.  It's called the Canalside Roller Rink and they've got themed nights throughout the fall.  Tonight is going to be a huge one.

Tonight...is 80's night.

It's the decade of leg warmers, head bands, and roller rinks and they're hoping to bring that all back to you tonight.  This one should be huge.

It's all part of a series of themed nights to be held at the Canalside Roller Rink.  For every theme, they encourage people to dress the part.  Wear something that shows off the theme and take a spin around Buffalo's largest outdoor roller rink.

They will have a DJ and even drink specials available for those that need a little extra courage to get out there.

The upcoming themes include:

  • September 3rd- 80’s
  • September 10th- Summer Disco
  • September 17th - Buffalo Sports Day
  • September 24th- 90’s
  • October 1st- Pride Night
  • October 8th- Roll & Glow + Silent Disco
  • October 15th- Breast Cancer Night
  • October 22nd- Flannel Fest
  • October 29th- Halloween

It looks like a blast!

Tickets are available there.  Adults are just $6, kids 13 and younger are just $2.  If you don't have skates, no worry!  They will have skates available to rent for $4.  Inline skates will not be permitted.

You will need to sign a waiver, and you can save some time by doing it ahead of time.  Click here to start that process.
