I made these last night. They're SO easy, and CRAZY delicious.

Word to the wise...do use a thermometer to test your oil temperature.  It should be at 350.  I think mine was a little too hot in the beginning so the outside got cooked very quickly.  Then I lowered it too much and that batch was soggy.  Find that "just right" spot.

These would be the perfect addition to a birthday party table by the way...they're actually quite simple to make, and by all accounts, super delish.

A scoop of vanilla ice cream would hammer this home for the perfect fall dessert.  I'm guessing you could also use any other firm fall fruit....maybe pears?
