A massive snowstorm is coming through New York this week and it has already triggered a Winter Weather warnings.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Winter Storm Warning starting on Wednesday morning at 1 am.

The Winter Storm Warning will be in place until 7 pm on Thursday with parts of New York getting up to 9 inches of snow.


The storm is moving up from the south and will also impact Pennsylvania and parts of Ontario in Canada.

 

 

This is the first major storm to roll through the area in 2023. Parts of New York have seen plenty of snow over the past couple of months.

 

Since the beginning of November, the Buffalo-Niagara International airport has already recorded over 100 inches of snow. That is more than it usually gets all season long.


 

Be prepared for a messy morning commute and possible closing across the state due to the weather.
