Rising shipping rates, inflation, and a lack of a workforce are forcing one long-standing Western New York business to close its doors forever.

Kutter's Cheese Shop in Corfu announced on its Facebook page that it plans on shutting down because it is impractical for them to remain open financially. The owners Heather and Brian said it was a hard decision but one they had to make.

Kutters opened back in 1923 and the retail store opened in 1947 and has proudly served the Western New York community since then.

If you plan on getting some cheese before they shut down the shop. Kutters is located at 857 Main Road in Corfu. You can also call for more information about what they have left. The phone number is 585-599-3693.

Kutter's was also an outlet for Yancey Fancy's cheese but they are two sperate companies. Yancey Fancey's cheese will still be available at area stores.
