‘KoKo the Gorilla’ Gets Kittens For 44th Birthday Gift + LOVES Them [VIDEO]

Koko is that famous gorilla near San Francisco who knows over 1,000 words in sign language and understands 2,000 words in English.

She's basically like a 3 year old human!

She asked for a kitten in 1984, and got one...leading to her cover shot on National Geographic.

After that little guy unfortunately escaped and was hit by a car, Koko got a new one named "Smokey" who lived with her for almost 20 years!

For her 44th birthday, she got two NEW ones she'll keep as pets again.

Her birthday was July 4th, but the video just came out recently.  She got to pick the one she liked. :)

Her handlers say she's gotten a lot more energy since the kittens arrived. <3
