EXTRA: READY TO EAT CHICKEN RECALL IN NEW YORK

According to Lake Winds Food Co-Op, the butter will be back soon on the shelves after the packaging is replaced.

We have reformulated some of our packaging due to new regulatory requirements in New York, which means certain Kerrygold products are temporarily unavailable. We will be back on shelves from this week onwards. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The items affected by the packaging change are:

  • Kerrygold salted butter sticks, UPC 00767707002149, any best buy date
  • Kerrygold unsalted butter sticks, UPC 00767707002156, any best buy date

Kerrygold Butter is sold locally at markets like Walmart, Target, Tops, and Wegmans.

If you have any of the old butter, you can return it to where you purchased it for a refund.

Other types of Kerrygold butter that come in tubs are still available at local stores since it was the packaging of the butter sticks that caused the recall.

Kerrygold butter is the second best-selling brand of butter in the United States just behind Land O’ Lakes.
