This is insane. It really wasn't that long ago that the internet became a real "thing"...but now that 99.9 percent of us are online at least once a day, it seems like it's been around forever.

Remember when it first came out?  No one knew to pronounce "." as "dot" or "@" as "at". Watch Katie Couric and Bryant Gumble struggle to explain what is now so commonplace...and it's only from 1994!

What did YOU first think of the internet when you first heard about it? Did you think it would be a passing fad? Or something incredibly useful and revolutionary? Did you think the whole "email" concept would ever catch on?
