Over the years the long-running trivia show Jeopardy! has shown a decent amount of love to hip-hop via rap-related queries. Alex Trebek and the show continued to trend on the Friday (July 1) episode of the show with an item involving Kanye West.

The West answer came under the category of "I'd Like to Thank" for $600. "Kanye West for giving us so many different versions to choose from of this early 2016 album.” Apparently none of the contestants were team Yeezus, because all three failed to come up with "The Life of Pablo." Come on, son. That was a lay-up.

This isn't the first time the show has had nods to rap. In fact, the amount of hip-hop questions on Jeopardy over the years may surprise you. Beastie Boys, Jay Z, Notorious B.I.G., Dr. Dre, Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, Cypress Hill and a lot more have seen their names on Trebek’s blue screen.

Two years ago, the answer: "In 2013 & 2014 this rapper had a monster hit with "The Monster" featuring Rihanna" came across with a contestant wrongly answering Kanye West (FYI the correct answer is Eminem). Last year, Fetty Wap and Iggy Azalea-related questions were featured on the game show.

Two months ago the early A-Town rap scene made a cameo with answer: “A studio used by acts like Outkast & Future, ‘The Dungeon’ in this southern city started in a suburban basement.”

And you thought the Jeopardy! staff was full of squares.
