Jack Eichel has been trying to put Buffalo in his rearview mirror for some time.  Now, he might be able to actually do it.

Things went bad for Jack Eichel in a hurry here in Buffalo.  After sustaining a neck injury that he and the team couldn't agree on a method to cure, the Sabres were all but forced to find a trade for him.

They waited and got the most that they could out of him and agreed to a trade with the Las Vegas Golden Knights.  So far, that trade looks like one that the Sabres can easily brag that they've won.

Eichel was happy to get out of here and has since become a bit of a villain to Buffalo sports fans.

However, there's been one thing hanging on from his time in Buffalo - the sale of his waterfront home.  It's beautiful.  It has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. A WINE CELLAR. A home movie theater, and more.

It originally went up for sale at an asking price of $1.3 million, a number that some thought might be overpriced.  That was in December.

In May, the asking price dropped to a little under $1.2 million.

Now, it looks as though it might finally sell but almost $200,000 less than he was hoping to get. According to Buffalo Business First, "the 3,000-square-foot home is under contract with a sale price slightly above $1 million."  That means that the sale is still pending...but at least he's got a possible buyer.

You have to believe he's just ready to be done with Buffalo at this point and the discount isn't even a drop in the bucket for him.
