Jack Eichel was traded to the Las Vegas Golden Knights for a hefty price. In return for Eichel, the Sabres got forwards Peyton Krebs and Alex Tuch, a first-round draft pick who ended up being highly regarded Noah Östlund, and a 2023 second-round pick. Eichel was anointed the answer for Vegas, who seemed to need just one major piece to win a Stanley Cup.

That didn't work out. In Eichel's first year with the team, they missed the playoffs and completely tanked with him on the roster. He averaged less than a point a game. He was, however, coming off a major neck injury and many sympathize with his stance on that. Eichel, after all, wanted to be traded because he wanted to have a specific surgery on his neck that had never been done before on an NHL player that the Sabres would not allow. The surgery was allowed by Vegas after the trade and was successful.

This year is different. He is averaging a point a game and Vegas is fighting for the top spot in the Pacific Division.

Some, however, are expecting more out of the superstar player and as of late, he has had several games where he has been held without a point. To be fair to Eichel. slumps happen and it's not like his team is playing badly. That hasn't stopped the Twitter noise, however. It began with a reporter who covers the team pointing out that they need to find a way to get Eichel going.

That's when fans started chiming in and it gets a bit ugly. It's also rather familiar for Sabrea fans regarding his play over the years, and they jump in on the action as well. Take a look.

It'll be interesting to see how things go for Jack and Vegas moving forward.
