Now that the weather is getting nicer, there are so many great activities to do in Western New York and Southern Ontario that will surely help keep you occupied every weekend this spring and summer.

Whether you like to hike, bike, sightsee, or embark on other adventures, there are plenty of things for you to put on your to-do list this year. One of those things that you just have to do will give you a view of Niagara Falls and the Niagara River that very few people have seen.

You Have To Check Out The Tunnel In Niagara Falls, Ontario

If you travel 180 feet down below the Niagara Parks Power Station in Niagara Falls, Ontario, you'll find a more than 2,000-foot-long tunnel that's nestled in the Niagara River Gorge that will truly blow your mind.

The Tunnel At The Niagara Parks Power Station used to be part of the system that Ontario used to generate hydropower for the Golden Horseshoe region of Southern Ontario. This particular tunnel was where water was used to exit the plant after it turned large hydroelectric turbines to generate power.

After you take an elevator down and walk out of the tunnel, you will find yourself facing the mighty Niagara Falls and the viewing platform will give you a view that has only been seen by a limited amount of people.

This is just one of a few great things to do in Niagara Falls. In fact, I got a chance to check out the tunnel after it first opened and it is a truly amazing experience that you need to check out next time you hop over the border.

You can find out more information about The Tunnel here on the Niagara Parks website.
