We don't know yet if the Bills will have left tackle Dion Dawkins for Thursday's game (hasn't practiced all week but not ruled out), but we do know edge rusher Von Miller won't play.

Miller was hurt against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. There was fear it was the ACL in his right knee but testing revealed a lateral meniscus tear, which isn't ideal but it's much better news than it could have been.

Reports where the Bills were going to wait and see how the knee responds to conservative treatment over the next 7-10 days and on Tuesday evening, Miller said on his podcast that he does indeed to play through the injury and get surgery after the season.

"I do have some lateral meniscus damage and it's going to have to be addressed. But I do feel like I can play through that," said Miller.

"Just going to wait a little bit, let the swelling go down after 7-10 games and hopefully, right before the Jets game, I'll be back," said Miller.

Banged Up Bills, which is run by someone with medical experience, says the Bills would have to be cautious to ramp him back up too quickly but realistic to return. Mentioned that even back by the Dolphins game a week later would be a win.

As someone who had a meniscus injury, the swelling is a problem the first few days. After that goes down it can improve considerably. Hopefully it does for Miller and the Bills; and surgery can be held off until 2023.
