Bills Likely to Get a Snowy Payback Against Miami Next Saturday

The Buffalo Bills are 9-3 and atop the AFC standings, after this past Sunday where both the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs lost.

The Bills are tied with the Chiefs but hold the head-to-head tiebreaker, while they are now one game ahead of the Dolphins for the lead in the AFC East.

The Jets will visit Highmark Stadium this Sunday but the game after that will be yet another primetime game, which is at home against the Dolphins next Saturday night on The NFL Network.

We all remember what happened the last time the Bills played the Dolphins.

The game was week 3 and featured intense south Florida heat, which caused many Bills players to leave either the game or certain plays because of cramping and heat exhaustion. Buffalo outgained Miami by almost 300 total yards, but still lost the game.

Bills fans did not appreciate the fact the Dolphins were on the shaded sideline, while the Bills were on the non-shaded sideline; plus could not use cooling fans because Miami declined to use theirs. The same thing happened to the Minnesota Vikings a week later, but the Vikings did win their game.

The Dolphins now have to play in Orchard Park a week before Christmas Eve and we knew there would be a decent chance at cold temperatures and snowfall...it looks like that will happen.

The Weather Channel's early forecast calls for temperatures in the high 20's for kickoff next Saturday, with 1-3 inches of snow; not to mention a stiff 10-15 mph wind.

That would be a perfect forecast for a "payback" game. Pat Hammer of WGRZ also tweeted the game against the Dolphins is something to keep an eye on for a snow game.

While the Bills offense would have to play in that weather as well, they are much more accustomed to the elements than the Dolphins.

Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was born and raised in Hawaii, where he was one of the top recruits in the country. He then played college football in Alabama and then drafted by the Dolphins...he's had limited experience playing in cold weather and hasn't really played in a snow game.

Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was born in Texas and also played at the University of Alabama and then drafted by Miami. He also has not had much experience playing in cold weather or snow.

This should be an interesting game if this forecast holds true.
