It Spring, And Road Construction Starts Again

It's a right of Spring...just as you are getting ready to roll down the car windows, don't expect to feel the wind blowing through your hair at least not in some of the perennial construction areas of Western New York.

I'm speaking specifically of the Skyway, the 290, Cleveland Drive in the Town of Cheektowaga just to name a few.

"It's a similar project from last year," said Athena Hutchins, executive director of NITTEC. She;'s referring to phase 2 of the Skyway project. "They are gonna be keeping the inbound traffic coming into the city during morning rush hour and then outbound traffic during the afternoon commute, so very similar to last year."

NITTEC uses 150 LIVE cameras to help compile local traffic reports. She recommends you check the website www.NITTEC.org or the app to get real time updates. "This is what it will look like. You can download the app and then you can get various ways you can get to the cameras you can view them."
