We didn't need a list to tell us that Buffalo is COLD! But how does our city measure up to others around the country? Buffalo is the 58th coldest city in America, with an average low temperature of 22 degrees Fahrenheit, according to Niche.com

Niche.com gathered the data and put together a list of the Top 100 Coldest Cities in America. The data gathered is from states that are contiguous and with a population of 50,000 people or more. Niche then took the coldest average temperatures for the months of December through March from the past 30 years.

The Top Freezing Cities, according to Niche.com are:

  •  3.  Duluth, Minnesota:  Average low temperature of 8.1 degrees Fahrenheit
  •  2.  Fargo, North Dakota:  Average low temperature of 7.6 degrees Fahrenheit
  •  1.  Grand Forks, North Dakota:  Average low temperature of 6.3 degrees Fahrenheit
