Investigation of Murder-Suicide In Amherst

Police in Amherst are investigating a weekend murder-suicide in the Ransom Oaks subdivision.

The bodies of 53-year-old Richard Dux and his live-in girlfriend, 55-year-old Ellen Zingaro were discovered on Sunday afternoon when family members went to check on Ellen.

Authorities believe that Richard Dux shot and killed Ellen Zingaro, and then turned the gun on himself.
