Kids in the Buffalo school system will have an extra day to enjoy their family and friends this week. It has been announced that the Buffalo Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday ahead of the Thanksgiving break.

Buffalo schools Superintendent, Doctor Kriner Cash, says all schools will be closed on Wednesday so everyone can take a break during what's already been a stressful academic year.

However, the district made it clear via Twitter that there is no truth to a rumor about an extended closure for Buffalo schools.

This will be a busy, but short, week for everyone. As we get ready for the big feast on Thursday and the shopping season to formally kick off this Friday, there are so many things to look forward to. Don't forget, if you are planning on shopping this coming week, try to shop small and local! The small business in our community is the back bone of our economy. The last year and a half has been a rough time for many owners and hopefully there will be big numbers shopping in person this year. Remember to be responsible and wear a mask and follow all guidelines to help make this a safe and successful shopping season for everyone!
