Leave it to PBS kids to offer some great ways to destress during this challenging time.

We wanted to share them with you, here at the Breeze.  These are good for the kids in our lives and the wee kid that lives in all of us.

1)  Stay away from watching constant news on the COVID-19 situation.

2)  Remember children and others look to you for their lead,

Research shows that just being in the presence of a compassionate, safe adult can help kids calm down. As families, we can be “that person” for each other.

3)  Breathe

When we are anxious or upset, our heart rate increases and our breath becomes more shallow. When we take deep breaths, we send a message back to the brain: It’s okay to calm down.

4) Be silly and make a glitter jar :-)
