It's officially September and that means fall is right around the corner. Pumpkin spice, fall foliage, corn mazes, apple-picking and yes, haunted houses.

According to New York State and Governor Andrew Cuomo, fall activities can operate this fall, with added guidelines and restrictions.

Those fall activities include apple-picking/fruit/vegetable-picking, hayrides, corn mazes and haunted houses.

The two most popular haunted houses in Buffalo every year just might be House of Horrors & Haunted Catacombs and Frightworld and on Monday, House of Horrors & Haunted Catacombs teased on Facebook about info coming for the 2020 season!

According to the state's guidance for Agrotourism Business for the Fall season, houses must have reduced capacity, face coverings required, and social distancing between individuals/parties.

Haunted houses are certainly not for everyone, but I've always loved going every October. It sounds strange but getting scared is kind of appealing, when it's with friends or family and there's no real threat, which there are not.

I'm sure if I was in an actual haunted house with danger, then that would be different...
