Winds picking up across the area into early Wednesday. Light to moderate rain showers will develop around daybreak with periods of heavy downpours at times.

From mid-morning on, the rain becomes much more intermittent and scattered. Temperatures will top out above average for late November, in the low to mid-50s! The rapid development of the storm will put us on the path for potentially strong to damaging wind gusts, upwards of 50-60 mph at times, especially into Wednesday afternoon. As a cold front moves across the area, temperatures plummet toward evening with rain changing over to snow showers. Some ski country lake snow showers are possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning, especially across the higher terrain.

That system will usher in much chillier air for Thanksgiving with a brisk wind.  Wind chill values may drop into the teens and near 10° at times for the Turkey Trot.  Leftover ski country snow showers start to wind down getting into the afternoon with some partial sun elsewhere. Tranquil Friday before another wintry, maybe icy mix arrives Saturday night into Sunday.
